The Hurunui Community Development Trust is offering families the opportunity for a change in lifestyle and assistance into owning their own home.
The Trust is building houses and sell them to families using a shared equity scheme. The scheme’s flexible so we can tailor our offering to your circumstances.
We have completed construction of the first home on a section that was gifted to the initiative by the Hurunui District Council and funded by investor David Dicker (Rodin Cars). Planning for the next two houses is well underway, with building to commence by the end of 2023.
Our goal is to grow the community through attracting families who’ll be happy to make Waiau their home. We also want to enable current community members to put roots down here by helping them purchase their first home.
Ideal candidates are those who want to be involved in community groups, have skills that will help the Communities businesses grow and will enjoy the country lifestyle that this special area offers. Anyone is welcome to apply.
